What Does it Mean to be Progressive?
Campus Progress has begun a program to send speakers to campuses across the country to discuss “What Does it Mean to be Progressive?” The speakers will address progressive values, describe a post-Katrina progressive agenda, and discuss the challenges progressives face in advancing progressive goals. "What Does it Mean to be Progressive?" provides an excellent opportunity to inspire students, inform local media, and help build the grassroots support that the progressive movement needs in order to counter conservative influences on campus and elsewhere and create support for a positive agenda.
John Podesta, President of the Center for American Progress, kicked off the series in Wisconsin on October 10th, at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Read his remarks here.
