Yana Kunichoff
Yana Kunichoff covers immigration and its many appendages for Campus Progress. She is also an assistant editor for Truthout.org, and a reporter for Chicago's hyper-local RedEye Pilsen/University Village site. Yana received her undergraduate degree from the University of Durham in England and her masters in journalism from Northwestern University. She has also lived in five different countries, most recently the Netherlands and England, but only reported in three. Yana has written for news outlets including DemocracyNow!, the Chicago Reporter, the Inter Press Service, In These Times and the literary journal TriQuarterly on topics including politics, immigration and social movements. The rest of the time she's an avid reader, unashamed listener-in on conversations, political news junkie and aficionado of the gritty urban space. You can follow her on Twitter @yanazure.
