Deja Taylor

Deja Taylor has shared the stage with The Roots, Talib Kweli and recently opened for Common at the House of Blues in Chicago. Deja’s poetry has been featured a number of times on the Girlspeak Webzine and her performances have been written about in the Chicago Tribune, The Chicago Literary Journal and American Theater Magazine.

Deja is currently developing a one-woman show called Free Deja Taylor and will be featured in the 2009 HBO full-length documentary, HBO Presents: Brave New Voices, about the world of youth slam poetry.
