In an effort to empower the Boston College community to act against crimes against humanity, STAND’S Genocide Awareness Week Undergraduate Student Committee has organized a memorial service, educational forums, and a film screening to commemorate victims of genocide, and in particular, to honor the 15th anniversary of the Rwandan Genocide.

- “The Ethics of Intervention” with Ambassador R. Nicholas Burns: Tuesday, March 31, 2009, 7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Fulton Hall, Room 511, Main Campus, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467.
- “Justice After Genocide” with Ambassador Pierre-Richard Prosper and Ambassador James Kimonyo: Wednesday, April 1, 2009, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., Fulton Hall, Room 511, Main Campus, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467.

These events seek to revive our responsibility to remember victims of genocide, and our responsibility to protect those who are powerless.
