James Neiley

James Neiley is a 17 year-old Junior in high school. He is a member of the Vermont Youth Orchestra Chorus and also a member of his school chorus and men’s A Cappella group. He got involved in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) rights movement through his school’s Gay Straight Alliance, and then furthered his activism by becoming a member of Outright Vermont’s board of directors, which is a queer youth advocacy community center. James has spoken at rallies for Freedom to Marry and has testified in front of both the House and Senate Judiciary committees for marriage equality in Vermont.
