At the 6th Annual Emerging Black Leaders Symposium, which aims to examine the foundations of socioeconomic and racial disparities that exist in the African-American community, scholars and students will address the experience of the African Diaspora. They will examine the historical inaccuracies of contemporary literature, economics, politics, and media. Nikki Giovanni, world-renowned poet, writer, commentator, and activist who is currently a Professor at Virginia Tech University, will deliver the keynote address. Click here for more information.
