This seminar will focus on pre-assigned readings on the history of progressivism and various 19th and 20th century social movements; comparisons between progressivism and other political philosophies, and how progressive values shape contemporary political debate.

John Halpin and Ruy Texeira will help attendees understand these topics through round table discussion and small group analysis.
