The George W. Bush Crony Correspondence Contest!

What do Harriet Miers and President Bush tell each other in private? What did Bush and Mike Brown talk about to get him appointed to the head of FEMA? What sports team do you chat up the Commander-in-Chief about in order to make him think you’re the perfect fit for Ambassador to Canada?

We have no idea. So we asked you to just make something up for us.

Our contest asked for the best depiction of an exchange between President Bush and one of his favorite cronies. And we’re proud to announce the winner: Patrick Moody of Brandon, Florida, for this suggested e-mail from President Bush to Alberto Gonzales. Congratulations, Patrick!

The Ground Rules:

1. It had to be an exchange between Bush and one of his actual political cronies. Harriet Miers and Michael Brown have been big in the news, but places like The New Republic have tallied a large list for you to peruse.

2. The exchange could be in any format- letters, e-mail exchanges, IM chat sessions, you name it.

3. Exchanges could be as long or as short as you want, and could be a one-way communication or a dialogue between Bush and crony.
