Action Alliance Eligibility
- Organizing Grants and Progressive Partnerships are awarded only to youth or student-led organizations on or off college campuses.
- Unfortunately, we are not able to offer grants to organizations outside of the United States at this time.
- Organizing Grants and Progressive Partnerships are awarded only for specific issue campaigns or long-term projects to build the progressive movement in your campus or community—not general organizational funding, charitable works, publications, or specific events.
- If you need help to organize a specific event, as opposed to a long-term campaign or project, please click here to request assistance from the Campus Progress Events Team, or email speakers@campusprogress.org.
- Organizing Grants are to be used in accordance with the purposes of a nonprofit educational 501(c)(3) organization only, which can include campaigns on ballot initiatives, legislation, changing school policies, etc., but never partisan or electoral candidate activities.
- We want to devote our scarce resources to under-resourced areas that don’t have other potential sources of national support. Therefore, Organizing Grants and Progressive Partnerships are very rarely awarded to groups that are chapters of other national, state, or regional organizations, especially if those organizations are not led by students. We do occasionally make exceptions, so let us know of any extenuating circumstances that we should be aware of when making our decision.
- Organizing Grants cannot be used on salaries, stipends, rent or equipment (equipment that will be used as tools for advocacy may be an exception).
- Organizing Grants cannot be used exclusively for charity or service projects.
