Youth Fund & Youth Table Coordinator, Youth Fund

The Advisory Board of the Youth Fund is seeking a coordinator for a collaborative convening of national groups working with young voters. The Coordinator’s role will be to facilitate the coordination of c3 and a non-c3 youth vote groups working collaboratively in c3 and non-c3 tables.
The Coordinator will serve in a support role to the groups at the tables and advocate on their behalf. The Coordinator will be responsible for helping each group and the two collaborative tables to develop strategies, establish meaningful benchmarks, and shape plans that drive collaboration, encourage effective work, and promote accountability. The Coordinator will work with the groups to help build capacity for outreach and organizing work, especially in non-campus communities and communities of color.
The Coordinator will facilitate involvement of the members of the Advisory Board, and further their ability to provide strategic and substantive direction. The Advisory Board is responsible for all funding decisions related to the Youth Fund. The Coordinator will make recommendations to the Advisory Board on the disbursement of funds raised through the fund, and will communicate with the Advisory Board about progress towards goals through status updates on regular calls and meetings. The Coordinator will work with the Advisory Board members to establish a donor/funder outreach strategy and will work with Advisory Board members to cultivate and secure additional donors (establish message platform/talking points, attend meetings, etc).
The Coordinator will report to a designee of the Advisory Board, and will be responsible to the groups at the youth table.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Strong facilitation skills and ability to constructively manage competing agendas
- Ability to bring groups towards consensus, while respecting the expertise and opinions of all of the groups at the table
- Experience with development and management of complex operational budgets, and ability to give budgeting or resource allocation advice to groups as they seek to develop a shared plan that rationally divides functions/geography
- A strong background knowledge of Youth Vote issues and organizations
- Ability to help groups establish a common vision for progress in Youth Vote
- Ability to provide technical and strategic assistance to groups upon request
- Capability to help groups make effective use of technology (online database and tracking tools, etc.)
- Prior experience with political, strategic plan writing, goal setting, and evaluation
- Experience working with senior leadership of organizations
- Knowledge of the donor landscape and experience working with individual and institutional donors
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Willingness to work independently and collaboratively, with a flexible schedule, in a non-traditional work environment
- Willingness to manage tasks ranging from the complex to the mundane
- Self-motivation, self-management skills, a demonstrated respect for deadlines, and a commitment to transparency
- A positive attitude, and a good sense of humor
