Every summer, the higher education world is abuzz with excitement as Princeton Review releases its annual college rankings (reg. required). The largest amount of discussion tends to centered on the awardee of top "Party School," a dubious honor garnered this year by Pennsylvania State University, and the accuracy of which the university’s spokespeople were quick to question. Everyone, of course, want to see their schools top the positive lists ("Best College Library," "Lots of Race/Class Interaction") and be absent from the negative lists ("Least Accessible Professors," "Dorms Like Dungeons"). But the greatest fault in the Princeton Review rankings is that they don’t include many important characteristics to consider when rating colleges. I love this but I think you missed a good one for the “most bizarre mascot” catagory: The Geoduck (http://www.evergreen.edu/athletics/geoduck.htm), The Evergreen State College in Olympia WA.
