  1. Unfortunately most women do not care until they are faced with an unintended pregnancy. If Choice supporters&leaders do not develop a radical approach to saving choice it will be so truncated as to be of no value. We need something bold and in your face – I can say this after being a lobbyist, clinic director, etc. and frankly women – even some clinic employees are lazy-as long as they are ok a minimum of effort is exerted on behalf of what brings them a paycheck and more importantly women do very little to support choice in the broad spectrum. Frankly, I would close down all clinics for one week with a concerted educational element for doing so..but that will never happen.

A better idea would be shut down the clinics for 18 years. Track the people who are born during this shut down who would otherwise have been aborted. Hold an election confined to these people only, to decide the abortion issue. After all, aren’t these the people with the biggest stake in the question. Seems to me they would be much better qualified to decide the issue, rather than handing it over to political hacks on either side of the question. Or would this experiment involve too much choice for your tastes?
