Today, United States Senator McCaskill was asked not to speak at her daughter's graduation (after having been invited by the students themselves). The reason: She's pro-choice and pro-stem cell research.Folk singer Joan Baez was banned from singing to troops at Walter Reed hospital without being given any reason at all. She is opposing the war in Iraq.On top of all this, Congress didn't manage to stand up to President Bush and overrule his veto of the Iraq spending bill. What is happening in this country? What is happening to everything this country stands for (most importantly, freedom of speech)?
