All the cool kids on the internet are rushing to Cato's new site targeting college libertarians--Cato on Campus.

According to the really flashy explanation box on the front page says the site is

a new online resource created for students by the Cato Institute, one of the nation’s leading public policy research foundations. With extensive content of its own, this site also provides direct access to the massive online resources of Cato’s public Web site – www.cato.org.

All the content currently featured links to other, grown-up Cato pages--but thanks to the collegiate letter jacket font on the Cato on Campus site, even young people like me can understand what they're talking about!

Yes, because Campus Progress...

...is so much more hip?

Christ, give 'em time. The site just launched because one of their junior staffers (Who, full disclosure, I've met and I'm really impressed by) put a hell of a lot of work in.

I've hung out with a lot of Think Tank-ers in DC, and for what it's worth, the CATO junior staff is filled with really bright kids.

And hey, they also employ people like Tom Palmer, who in addition to being brilliant and awesome in a variety of ways, appreciates liberty enough that he has it tattooed on both arms, on one side in Sanskrit and on the other in ancient Chinese seal script. Definitely wins hipness points in my book.

What's the point of this sort of random sneering, anyhow?

Actually, Campus Progress is hipper, but that's still no reason to make fun of Cato on Campus.
