I am frustrated that nowhere in the "response" is there a discussion of the issues concerning fundamentalist Islam's orppression of women and gay people.

term's origins

So much of the response is aimed at the term, Islamo-Fascism.

Did you know, the term “Islamo-Fascism” was coined by moderate Algerian Muslims under attack from Muslim hardliners in the effort to cement Sharia law as the state-ordered moral guidance for all. In Algeria in the 1990s, the original islamo-fascists murdered some 150,000 Muslims who were not Muslim enough.
