Rarely does one's death affect almost every person who ever went to college in a way such as this. His actions were ones that touched all of us, at some point in our studies. And his insight, wisdom, and creative genius will truly be missed.

Rest in Peace, Momofuku Ando- inventor of the Cup Noodle.

Mr. Ando changed my life forever. His noodles touched my heart, not to mention my stomach. I can only thank him for giving me an alternative meal on those days when dining hall food was unsuitable for human consumption.

Mr. Ando, I owe everything to you.

Your integrity, your courage, your chivalry, and your utter warmth of heart shall be remembered forever.

You will not be forgotten. Times may change, but your noodles will stay forever in me, and forever the same.

...Why do you people make me be the contrarian bastard about everything?

Instant ramen is bullshit. You can get packs of Yakisoba noodles (Soba > Ramen in every way) from your local supermarket, put 'em on the stove in your common lounge, and be good to go in 3 or 4 minutes with a meal far tastier than Cup Noodle.

Ramen is an inferior noodle type, instant or otherwise. I'll never understand why it took off here.

Hmm, intriguing! I'll have to try them sometime soon.

There is absolutely NO difference in taste. End of story.

If your yakisoba tastes like ramen, you're not cooking it right ;p

The "yaki" part of "yakisoba" generally means you're pan-frying it, usually with a handy little chicken flavor packet you get with the noodles.

If you can't taste the difference between pan-fried noodles and some dredgy instant ramen in a Cup O' Noodles, something is awry in your mouth.

Alright SDF, I took your advice. But after a few bites of Yakisoba, I really didn't feel that the taste was any different. Maybe there's a slight difference, but I couldn't feel anything particularly special. Hmm.
