Matt also noted the importance of breaking out of issue silos and of recognizing that traditional four-year college students actually constitute a minority of college-age youth. "We have to pay attention to non-college students and non-traditional students," Matt said.

Of course, part of this is that I don't think electoral politics has ever been or will ever be particularly cool. But a broader notion of politics, one that includes social and economic activism can become cool again.
Hell, I think CampusProgress has done a pretty decent job of this as well.
