Just my opinion on yesterday's debate of the Democratic Candidates.

After hearing so many different opinions on the Democratic candidates' debate in South Carolina yesterday, I decided I had to see it for myself.
One would think that with now only three candidates left on the stage (as opposed to seven of them last year), it would be a rather quiet, civilized debate. The contrary was the case.
In the beginning, things weren't that bad, but then Senator Obama and Hillary Clinton started to go after each other. Senator Obama started an unnecessary fight by bringing up Bill Clinton, which in my view was uncalled for and let to the exchange of a series of very harsh remarks between him and Hillary Clinton. She in turn attacked Obama on his voting records, he hit back by accusing her of dirty campaign tricks and so on...I would say it made neither one of them look very good.
As for John Edwards...he tried to weigh in more, and hit the nail on the head when pointing out that "this is not a two-person race". At times it also looked like he was trying to play out Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton against each other.
To give all of them some credit, I have to say that towards the end the issues were being debated civilized again, without any further personal attacks.
It will be seen this weekend what impression this debate has left on the South Carolina primary voters...
