Easy.
I arrived around 7 (the 'event' ran from 6 until 10) and was a little more than confused. There were cords and computers and projectors everywhere with images of people downloading photoshop on the wall. A random guy was splashing black paint on a blank canvass. A DJ was doing lots of work it seemed, but the music was chill. I didn't realize until after a few hours that there was a live performer actually singing along with the music. There was like an arts and crafts section crammed into a corner given BeBar's small size and a marketing team from Scion was giving away free stuff at the door.
Basically, no one knew what was going on. I felt like I was behind the scenes at America's Got Talent or something. The crowd was mixed and basically disinterested until a random belly dancer took the stage. The tag line for the 'performance,' LIVE (Electronica +Projections +Fashion +Art +Performance) + YOU = X is about as random and void of meaning as the actual performance. Luckily the $5 honey-oat dirty mojitos kept me entertained. Apparently I should just never go to BeBar.
If your still interested, even after the description above, the event occurs once a month. Despite the mention of a $5 cover, neither my friends nor I paid anything to get in. Enjoy.
Today's Sartorialist. Yes yes yes yes yes. I love the short, black, semi-casual dress for girls these days. It's slimming, dressy, hot and comfortable. Do it. Also, I'm now glad I decided not to go to Beijing for the olympics.

I'm sorry it took you this long to learn this fact. It's true, Be Bar is not the best bar. Here's another fact: when you misspell words like "apparently," you sound stupid. Spell-check before you publish, thanks.
