I envy those of you who are still in college and are going back to live in the dorms. Sure, dorm life has its inconveninces and indignities. Especially when you get sexiled by your "liberated" roommate or when you're the one trying to "watch a movie" with your "friend" in that extra-long single bed.
But there is something comforting about having the option of living in a dorm that I miss now that I am on the higher educational outside.
To those of you who had to find your own housing here, or have decided to become a full on Washingtonian and are in the process of moving: my condolences. I am currently in the market for a new place and it is quite stressful. (Move in date: September 1 - if you know any good leads - hollar at me.)
I feel as if my roommate and I have reasonable expectations: a two bedroom in decent shape, within a mile of a Metro stop, not in a neighborhood that would make our mothers nervous, and affordable. Somehow we always get caught up on the latter. Everyday when I search and search online, I just want to yell at the computer, "Craig, whoever you are, you are letting us down! We need an apartment! Please...."
