One of my favorite things about being a young progressive living in DC is that I have met so many amazing young activists here.

Although I can name dozens of peers who are out there everyday, fighting the good fight, it can often seem like these efforts go without recognition.

The good news:

 This Brave Nation is accepting nominations for a Young Activist Award to honor these kinds of fantastic young people. Eligible nominees must be under 30 years old and living in the United States (but not necessarily a US citizen). Nominations can be sent online and are due June 22, 2008. Be sure to include a photograph, video, or essay about your nominee.
