On Friday night, I went to Evolve, a hip and sophisticated Adam's Morgan bar, for the first time. If you ever find yourself in Adam's Morgan, but realize that you're sick of Adam's Morgan, I suggest checking out Evolve.

Downstairs is a crowded bar, and upstairs a lounge with white couches. I enjoyed the music and dancing. It's clear that this lounge is trying to please a demographic that is tired of the classic, cheesy Adam's Morgan bars.

Evolve is on 1817 Columbia Rd. There is no cover, but the drinks are expensive. They also have a selection of small plates with tasty food like lamb, aspargus, baked brie, and french fries.
