Looking for some free fun this Saturday afternoon? Tired of listlessly walking down U St. looking for pick-up spades games in front of the mocha hut? I know I am. Luckily, I have a solution.

This Saturday July 26 from 11 am to 8pm, you can head over to Northeast and experience the Capital City Soul Fest. Held in Marvin Gaye Park, this free event features live music from some of DC's best. Personally, I'm looking forward to hearing Edith Sodolo, Christylez, Mello D and the Rados, and Cool Cee Brown. ("Cee Brown will moisturize your situation and preserve your sexy!")  And the best part is...it's all free.

So look out for me this saturday, I'll be the PYT walking around looking like Jackie Onassis with some oversized sunglasses, sipping on lemon water. Oh, and I'll be carrying a large blanket over my shoulder...you know, to sit on...in the park. Which reminds me, I recommend bringing a lawn chair or a blanket...and perhaps some wine coolers. If you're over 21 of course (sarcasm.) *clears throat*

See you on Saturday!
