Ahmad al-Qloushi, a student at Foothill College, was at the center of an incident that caused some waves in the blogosphere a while ago. Basically, he wrote this essay that sucked. He was asked to write an essay on how the Constitution was written by elites. He instead wrote an essay on how wonderful America is. Either of these essays could make for wonderful reading, but only one of these topics was assigned.

Well, months after two conservative political science professors (as well as a number of moderates and liberals) said they would have given the kid a low D or an F (a C if he answered the question, based on his grammar), Horowitz is still pimping his cause on Sean Hannity's show.

Media Matters takes them both to task for failing to bring the professor on board who failed this student. The professor has offered his own side of the story, which makes this supposedly noxious professor look like a fairly understanding man.

For all the supposed bias in the classroom, I've never seen an academic department that would do anything nearly as one-sided as the FoxNews "Fair and Balanced" Snowjob.
