That's about as intellectual and eloquent as this statement is going to get ...
I am quite the dork - the other night, I spent a few hours watching C-SPAN's "American Perspective" and a bunch of college graduation speeches across the country. So much of a dork, I even taped it.
Mansfield spoke at some mom-and-pop college up in Michigan. As a women's studies and political science major, I was aware of who he was -- but it never occured to me how much of a sexist pig he was until I heard him speak.
Amazing that Harvard replaced its president, who has less interaction with the student population than Mansfield.
Betty Friedan would be rolling over in her grave listening to that guy's speech.
