With only a few weeks left in the summer its essential to make the most out of these last few summer weekends, and if you are so inclined weeknights. With that in mind I thought back to some of the things that made my summer great, as well as some things I haven’t had a chance to do yet.
My first great summer experience was my trip to Phase One. It was a lot of fun, the drink specials were great deals, and the music was perfect. If you haven’t been to Phase One yet you should check it out. Do remember though that all males require a female escort.
Visits to the Diner at 3am are always great especially on a Wednesday night. The Diner is open all night long, so its great to hit up before or after a night on the town especially if you really need to eat something before work. Even better on weekends they can serve an hour later than the bars as they serve food.
If there is one thing, I missed out on this summer it was some of the great free concerts. I never made it to every concert in the Golden Triangle Series, or the Virgin Mobile Festival up in Baltimore. However, the Kennedy Center still has their free shows on the Millenial Stage at 6 PM every night.
In the end DC has so many things to offer, be sure to try and do everything you can to make the most of your summer here before you leave.
