More seriously, the Kick the Oil Habit campaign is a definite winner. Unfortunately, despite recognizing the dangers of U.S. dependence on oil, the President has failed to make any meaningful policy changes to rectify the problem. Which leaves humble think tanks like CAP to launch cross-country road trips to spread the word about fuel alternatives. Of course, they also did a little research.
Obviously a central issue for all aspects of U.S. policy, from foreign affairs to healthcare, oil dependency needs to end. As politicians release the interconnected web of problems connected to petroleum products, smarter legislation will begin to address the issue. If we start advocating change now, we can speed the process along.
