I learned a lot about these people. They are angry, vengeful people who really want to control everything. They see themselves as the victims and everyone else in the world must agree with everything they ask for or they somehow become evil. All their calls for balance and fairness and "intellectual diversity" are hollow. What they really want is control and with that control they want to create a world where everything from the media to professors are skewed to their liking.
Yesterday there was a student panel on "Battling the Left in Its Privileged Sanctuaries". It featured students from Ball State, Bucknell and Roger Williams. These students were able to make conservative gains on campus through threats, lies, and distortions.
One student, Jason Mattera, told the audience that he was elected finance chair of his student government and gave his own group the most money on campus. What is fair or equitable about that?
But as I listened to these students I wasn't amazed or wowed by what they did or their presence. None were great speakers, their arguments all had flaws, and they only got what they wanted by being deceitful.
So it should follow that they should be easy to stop. And that is our job. On all of our campuses we need to stop these people in their tracks, to not cede an inch, and to continue to promote a progressive message that has made America what it is today.
