Check out this clip of a commentator on CNN stating its okay to call United States Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton a bitch because her personality somehow suits the definition.

The commentator was Alex Castellanos, a consultant for the GOP. From the clip it is quite apparent that Castellanos has a personal problem with Hillary Clinton.

Therefore, using only his analysis of her character and actions, Castellanos justifies his statement that it is perfectly acceptable for a newspaper to call Clinton or any woman who is as he states, "abrasive, aggressive [and] irritating," a bitch.

Castellanos also says that because Hillary clinton fits what he believes to be a standard societal definition of the term, calling Clinton (or any other woman who fits this apparently universal definition) a bitch is not sexist.

If I understand Castellanos' reasoning correctly, it is not sexist to call a woman a bitch based on what he (a man) feels is a universally accepted definition of a term for which there is no male equivalent, created in the confines of a partiarchical society?

Right.....    :-x

Why am I not surprised?

This comes as no big surprise to me. Hillary Clinton has been called bad names by the right-wing extremists for a long time, and this one was not even the worst of them. They hated her ever since she first came to the White House as First Lady (if not already before that). And when asked why, most of them can't even give you a good reason. Castellanos is by far not the only Republican who has a problem with Hillary Clinton.
Now, of course it's not okay to treat her (or any woman) that way. it is outrageous to say the least. I'm just saying, what else is to expect from right-wing extremists? All we can do is ignore them.

Right wing extremists? Are you kidding? The real hatred toward Hillary is coming from the left. Check out Daily Kos, Huffington Post, etc. If these are right wing extremists sites, that's news to me.

True, some on the left hate her too. (Though it seems the right is much worse). Should have mentioned it, but since this post was about someone from the right attacking her, that's what I mainly discussed in my response. Sorry for not being completely balanced.

"True, some on the left hate her too. (Though it seems the right is much worse). "

The hatred from the right was something you could almost expect. But given Hillary's lifetime of dedication to progressive causes, the hatred coming from the left took me completely by surprise and has led me to question for the first time what contemporary Progressivism is really all about.

I don't think progressivism has much to do with it. Hillary Clinton has always been a controversial figure throughout her political career.
