Next week is DC's Summer Restaurant Week!
In case you didn't know, this is where local restaurants offer up a prix fixe menu at $20.08 for lunch and $35.08 for dinner. While that may sound uncheap, consider that many of the restaurants participating are the best in the city.
Beware, though, as not everyone offers a good menu. Here's how you choose a restaurant:
Step 1 - Select a few participating restaurants
Look for anything you've been meaning to go to or a really good/interesting place (if you need help figuring out what's good, Washingtonian's got their 100 Best and Yelp's got their weird opinionated people).
Step 2 - Call them/check the site
You want to know (1) what's on the menu, and (2) do they take reservations. Sometimes the Restuarant Week menu is a jip or just flat-out sucks. On the other hand, some places have virtually their whole menu. Ask them what they got. Also, if you can make a reservation, do so.
Step 3 - Go and enjoy
