CNN reports that rabid conservative Pat Buchanan was doused with salad dressing yesterday at Western Michigan University.

The news site reports that "Buchanan's visit had evoked controversy on campus because it fell on the birthday of the late Mexican-American labor leader Cesar Chavez. Buchanan favors tighter controls on immigration."

Apparently the student yelled, "Stop the bigotry", before flinging the liquid on Buchanan.

This comes just two days after another conservative, William Kristol was hit with a pie at an Indiana college.

It seems as though some progressives are fed up and are treating conservatives like the clowns they are.

The message to conservatives coming to college campuses...wear a raincoat or face the consequences!

Ben and Jerry's or Paul Newman's Salad Dressing?
By jg Apr 1st 2005 at 10:48 am EST
The next time Ann Coulter comes here, I'll have to
remember to keep some Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream to
throw at her. After all, Ben Cohen is also the
founder of the progressive grassroots organization
True Majority. So getting hit not just by ice
cream, but by Ben and Jerry's progressive
ice cream would just double the point. Then again,
I hear Paul Newman, who has his own salad dressing
company, is really progressive also . . . . hmm .

College Republicans Win!
By Waldo Sangren Jan 3rd 2007 at 5:37 pm EST
Buchanan's speech was sponsored by Young America's Foundation. As part of the subsidy deal, publicity was engineered by the national YAF's Patrick Coyle, who loves to stir up controversy that reflects badly on progressive students. Western's campus was flooded with bigoted flyers (3-4 thousand of them) opposing Mexican imigration and homosexual marriage. The whole Buchanan event was planned to make it easy for someone to disrupt it, and that's exactly what happened. Within a few hours, the right wing publicity machine geared up, and the dressing story made national news, including Rush Limbaugh. Michelle Malkin used the story in her latest book, contending that all liberals are insane. It was no laughing matter here at WMU.
