Yesterday, a student was tasered at a John Kerry speech in Gainesville, FL. Like the tasering at a UCLA library last year, it was also caught on camera:
Two officers have been placed on administrative leave, and about one hundred students came out to a protest earlier today. They are asking that the police officers in question be suspended imediately, that all charges be dropped against the student, and that all tasers be banned from campus. ABC news and The Independent Florida Alligator seem to have a good wrap-ups of what has happened so far.
