Perhaps this is somewhat random, but an intriguing thought occured to me today, and I want to know what the CP group thinks of it. So here goes:

Has anyone heard any rumors or whatnot about a potential Spitzer presidential run?

Haven't even heard it speculated before now--if any Democrat from NY runs in 2008 it almost certainly ain't gonna be Spitzer....

I saw a photo op he did, for a big writeup of him in one of the read-by-the-people-who-matter publications.

It was him, and his kids. In the photo op, he and his kids were playing with a toy NASCAR set.

There's not a lot of NASCAR fans in New York -- he's setting his sights on the national stage, and that photo op was just one more low-key way of showing it.
