I can't believe no one has posted on this yet!!
Almost nothing makes me more nostalgic for my idyllic youth in the 50s than watching a great movie on a big screen outdoors. The mosquitos bite, you sneak in a flask, and all is well with the world. Apart from Bengie's, I've never been to a drive in. I went to Bengies when I was in Girl Scouts, and we all sat on the top of our leaders' van to watch Mario Brothers in the moonlight. If you're interested in finding a drive-in movie theater near you, you could check out Link, OR you could just hop on the metro a few Monday nights this summer and enjoy an eco-friendly version of this classic movie-watching experience. This past Monday, HBO's screen on the green kicked off with a romantic classic - Annie Hall. Many (including me) were scared away by the forecast of severe thunderstorms, but as with the fireworks, the few brave souls who ventured out were rewarded with perfect weather, no rain, and adorable young Woody Allen.
