On Wednesday, July 9, 2008 join the Campus Progress Advocacy Team, progressive partner organizations like the Energy Action Coalition and U.S. PIRG, and fellow young people from around the country for a lobby day on Capitol Hill that you won't forget. Choose from one of two issues to lobby about:
1. Tell Congress how they can make a difference in the economic lives of young people - college affordability, health care, jobs, etc.
2. Press Congress to work for an end to global warming and toward a clean energy future!
Never lobbied before? Don't worry. We'll provide the skills, materials, and schedule the appointments. Just e-mail us your name and the address where you are registered to vote and come ready to make your voice heard on the issues that matter to you!
9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
The Center for American Progress
1333 H Street NW, 10th floor
Washington D.C.
This event is free and open to all young people interested in turning their progressive values into action.

Ease the Rat to the Cheap Cheese

I am commenting on the 1st statement choice. I think that congress not only makes a working families life easier but have just as much room for making improvement on life management skills, just like a younger generation should improvise on essential needs. The affordabillity issue could be a little bit more reasonable for all of us as a society (including Congress)! spending money that doesn't need to be put into the economies junk box(Global Warming) has reached excessive limits and has gotten out of hand. People really should just look at their moral values next time they choose to use the drive thru and buy a hamburger at a fast food restaurant or those who choose to eat out so they can share unnecessary money spending time with friends. It's called a home and it can be a warm and encouraging place to be for those who are confused about spending purposes. I also think by cutting off some of the excessive buildings of huge francises like McDonalds or taoc Bell could leave more healthier work envirnoments for young adults to stay active in being green. For example like a community work force job. Granet people(teens) use to just help because it made them feel good but today most think why feel good when you could go to work for minum wage at BK. and buy the car that thier parents are so prisistant on not buying them. Things are just to complicated for younger generations and they should be easied into a more efficiant way of lifestyles. For example maybe finding a way for younger teens or graduates from high school to recieve free medical care for a year or two, until a great job opportunity opens up. i hate to say it but it isn't like our doctors and most top profesions dont make enough to get by.
