Pulitzer-prize winning investigative journalist Seymour Hersh, whose storied career includes award-winning reporting on war and the arrogance of power from Vietnam and Watergate to Abu Graib, will keynote Campus Progress and The Nation's National Youth Journalism Conference.

Sy has some amazing stories to tell and it's an honor to have him speak at our conference.  Check out this amazing clip of him at last year's Campus Progress National Conference:

There are still some spots available, so register today for the journalism conference. Other amazing speakers at the conference include Michael Tomasky, Asra Nomani, Jose Antonio Vargas, Katrina vanden Heuvel, Ezra Klein, Anya Kamenetz, and Matthew Ygleasias.

Asra Nomani Rocks Harder than Hersh

Sy Hersh is an impressive reporter and his body of work is proof that journalists can be agents of social and political change, --- however, --- I find Asra Nomani's work to be even more amazing and her courage in taking on an entire cultural and religious system is even more impressive. In my opinion, as one of the first pioneers for women's rights and progressive change in Islam, she deserves the same recognition as religious reformer Martin Luther and human rights activisit Martin Luther King. But then, women are seldom accorded the same status as men in most of the world's societies. Still, I look forward to attending this interesting conference!

You're right -- Asra Nomani is a phenomenal reporter. She will be at the journalism conference too. She's speaking on a panel, appropriately, about how to be a great reporter and is leading a breakout on investigative reporting. Check out the entire agenda of the conference here: Link
