Want strengthen the progressive movement on your campus, bring engaging speakers and films to jumpstart dialogue, and engage in activism on local and national issues?
Then join the Campus Progress Student Network for 2008-2009! We’re currently still accepting applications to join the 100-student team of Student Representatives from the across the country who work with the staff and resources of Campus Progress to advance progressive causes at the local level and make their voices heard on the issues they care most about.
Last year’s students accomplished a ton, including:
- Bringing Iraq war veterans to campus and hosting dozens and dozens of Iraq war films
- Planning a day-long media reform conference
- Hosting alternative spring breaks across the country to address climate change and the death penalty
- Holding a massive antiwar rally on the 5th anniversary of bush’s “mission accomplished” Iraq speech
- Winning awards for their activism, events, and journalism
- And much, much, more!
Applications are due at the end of this month, so click here to learn more and to apply.
Tell your friends to apply!
P.S.: We are no longer offering the Student Advisory Board Program. This year Campus Progress is trying a different structure, strengthening the engagement of our student representatives instead of creating a separate advisory board. Definitely apply to be a student representative if you are interested in getting involved!
P.P.S.: The applications to start a Campus Progress Chapter are now closed. We will announce the chapters for 2008-2009 shortly. If you apply to become a rep at a school where we already have a chapter, we will put you in touch with them!
P.P.P.S.: If you have any questions, email organize@campusprogress.org. We’d love to hear from you and work with you throughout the year.
