That said, I've still enjoyed reading the articles by the less nutty people and am impressed by the wide array of writers they've brought together...just annoyed that they're legitimizing a few pretty creepy folks.
BTW, if your college has access to the "MasterFILE Premier" publication database, you can probably read it here for free, that's what I've been doing to get my fix of non-Sailerite articles: Link
It's a new magazine, founded in 2002, with a mission to reclaim conservatism from the neocons. The magazine has been at the forefront of an intellectual left-right antiwar coalition, running such diverse writers as Glenn Greenwald and Pat Buchanan. Besides, in what other magazine can you read Philip Weiss and John Derbyshire?
