Some award-winning Campus Progress students have been in the news again recently, woohoo!
Check out this article about Mitra Jalali, this year's Student Representative of the Year (and also former leader of our Campus Progress Chapter at University of Wisconsin, Madison). Harry Weisbren (his blog here) is taking the leader of that chapter this coming fall, and has some great ideas in the works.
As the article reinforces, Mitra's "activism taught her to see the world's shades of gray just beyond the blacks and whites."
Our Wichita State University Campus Progress Chapter (Chapter of the Year!) also got a great mention in this Sunflower Online article. Morgan, a chapter member, is quoted as saying: "The WSU chapter shows strength by finding key issues the general public may not be aware of." We're excited to keep working with them in the fall.
If you are interested in getting involved with Campus Progress, sign up to be a student representative or a chapter, and we'll get back to you!
