Campus Progress blogger (and Texas North Lake College student) Todd Hill traveled down to Crawford, Texas this week to meet with Cindy Sheehan, whose son died in the Iraq war. Cindy is waiting outside the Bush ranch in Crawford, where the Vacationer-in-Chief refuses to meet with her to discuss the war and the nature of her son’s sacrifice.

With over 60% of Americans expressing dissatisfaction with the war in Iraq, Cindy has become a voice for those who demand accountability from the White House and a spokeswoman for families who have suffered the greatest of losses.

We hope you’ll read Todd’s previous blog post about his touching meeting with Cindy. This morning, Todd sent us a few photographs from his trip down to Crawford.

Todd, those photos are awesome. And your report from Crawford was so great to read. I'm sure Cindy appreaciated it too.

I think almost all of us strongly disagree, and I second everything Todd wrote in response to you. Additionally, when did you first start to think that looking a gift horse in the mouth was good politics?
I don't find it...

...To be a gift horse. Whatever short-run points it scores, in the long run it cheapens and coarsens the discourse in the country to sink down to the level of base emotional appeals without strong arguments behind them.

By the way, I replied to Todd's points -- you can check it out in the original thread. :)
yeah

And 'Superduperficial" doesn't even cover the half of it. Your response seemed pretty shallow. I think you're giving Democratic Peace Theory way, WAY too much credit.

Amazing
