Action Alliances

Student with a Megaphone

Campus Progress is committed to helping young people lead progressive, grassroots issue campaigns to achieve their goals and strengthen the progressive movement. Whether you are working on a campus, community, state, or federally focused campaign for concrete change we want to support your work on issues that matter to you: from sweatshops and human rights, to sustainability and environmental justice, to broader projects that build the progressive movement for the long term, like starting a statewide student association or a youth-led regional climate change coalition.

Young people can join an Action Alliance with Campus Progress by applying for one or both of the following:

  • Organizing Grants: Resources for Youth-led Issue Campaigns or Movement Building Projects
Do you have a great idea for a campaign for change but need some startup funding? Already have the passion, creativity, ideas, and organizing skills but lacking the necessary resources? Campus Progress may be able to help. As a recipient of a Campus Progress Organizing Grant, you are eligible for $200 to $1,500 of project funding per year.

  • Progressive Partnerships: Guidance, Networking, Strategic Planning, and Training for Youth-led Efforts
If you’re serious about growing and strengthening your campaign and would benefit from more personalized support, training and development, Progressive Partnerships are a fantastic option. Benefits of the program include: on-site training and strategy session, assistance with publicity and messaging, collaboration on events and other projects, fast-track consideration for Campus Progress Organizing Grants, eligibility for free travel to the Campus Progress National Conference, and a national retreat for Partners and other Campus Progress Network members. Applications will be available at the beginning of each fall and spring semester. Youth-led progressive issue campaigns and movement building projects will be considered.
