Students, Iraq War veterans, and activists joined together on June 14th, 2007, in a rousing rally to end the war. The rally at Taft Memorial Park sent a clear message to our leaders that the time is now for a realistic plan to bring our troops home.
The Summer 2007 Iraq Action Camp, which took place June 10-14, was an intense week of training, campfires, lobbying, s'mores, and connections. Students from across the country were trained by experienced organizers from MoveOn, Democracy Matters, the United States Student Association, Campus Progress Action, and others. Participants learned what a good campaign looks like and how to work with the media to get the message out.
