Herold Noel, from Brooklyn, NY, served as a Private First Class with the U.S. Army’s 3rd Infantry Division in the initial invasion of Iraq. After serving for over eight months as a re-fueler on the front lines of battle, Herold returned to New York and became homeless after being denied assistance from the Veterans Administration and various city agencies. The film focuses on Herold’s struggle to secure housing for himself and his family. Herold is now an advocate for homeless veterans and speaks on several college campuses and high schools across the country.
