Change Takes Courage: March for Real Immigration Reform Now!

Nation of Immigrants Mural

Tens of thousands of people will be standing up for real immigration reform with a path to citizenship and respect for human and worker rights on March 21 in Washington, DC. With the administration and Congress showing few signs that they will take on this issue any time soon, it is more important than ever for progressives to tell Washington that change takes courage.

What does courage look like? It looks exactly like the four undocumented students who are walking from Miami to Washington, DC at this moment to draw attention to immigration reform. These students, who are on the “Trail of Dreams,” have not only faced the KKK, but also arrived at the office of “Butch” Conway, the anti-immigrant Sheriff of Gwinnett county, Georgia, to ask for a meeting, despite the danger of arrest and deportation. If these students can face down xenophobia and hatred for a chance at a just immigration system, then our elected officials have no excuse for opposing or avoiding reform.

You can take a stand by attending the march, but you can play an even bigger role by organizing a group of supporters from your community to come to Washington, DC to march for just immigration reform!

Our friends at the Center for Community Change have put together an organizing guide that can help you get  your friends, neighbors, and classmates to DC. Fill out the form below, and we will email you the guide and, if you want, let the Center for Community Change know that you could use their help getting folks together.
