Campus Progress hit the road with the Foo Fighters and Weezer for their Fall Tour.
Thursday November 10, 2005
At the invitation of the Foo Fighters, Campus Progress joined up with the band’s national tour with Weezer. Chris Schiflett, guitarist for the Foo Fighters said, “I’m glad that we’re able to hook up with Campus Progress on our upcoming US tour. Considering the fact that young people in America are the only age group that voted in favor of progressive candidates in last year’s election, I think it’s important to reach out and engage them with progressive ideals.” From Atlanta to Seattle to Philadelphia, Campus Progress students and staff set up tables at concerts on the tour to spread the word about Campus Progress and the Center for American Progress, and about issues that matter.
We’ve created a series of Campus Progress postcards that graphically expose the truth on contentious issues, from gas prices to the Iraq war to personal privacy. We handed out the cards at every stop on the tour, beginning September 8 in Atlanta, and we’ve also made them available here for use on your campus and in your community.
