Campus Progress and The Nation magazine
2006 Student Journalism Conference

On June 2, 2006 at the Center for American Progress in Washington, DC, Campus Progress and The Nation magazine held a join conference and series of workshops for students from across the country.

The students had the opportunity to come together for one day full of journalism workshops, panel discussions, training sessions and informal conversations with top professional editors, reporters, and cultural critics. Participants included Helen Thomas, E.J. Dionne, William Greider, Victor Navasky, Katrina vanden Heuvel, David Corn, Juliet Eilperin, Salim Muwakkil, Laura Flanders, and Eric Alterman. The day’s events were also broadcast live on C-SPAN2.
